Southwestern School of Management and Technology (SWSMT) is the best college in Kathmandu establish by a team of academicians, researchers and professionals aim to provide international standard education in management at both undergraduate and graduate levels. From the first day Southwestern entered into the filed of education, management was the coveted target not only because it is the most-in-demand and top-in-use directly result-producing stream but probably due to the inner desires of most of the group-members. Southwestern School of Management and Technology (SWSMT), now running BBA , BHM and MBA programs, has taken the vow to adhere to the established family culture of making a concrete difference while entering the field of management at higher level. Not going out of the standard practice of completing all the already-recognized & widely-followed diverse mechanisms towards handling the multi-disciplinary full-of-practical stream, and strictly guided by the accreditation – provider Purbanchal University, SWSMT aims to enhance the outcome through mixtures of self-restraint, correct-exposure, and two-way approach including the ‘individual focus’.

HISTORY

In 2014, Southwestern Group acquired Everest Business School and changed the name as Southwestern Business College. The process included the transfer of name, place and the promoters at Company Registrar Office and Purbanchal University under which the college was affiliated. Fully conscious of the value of distinction in the delivery of education, the College has embraced the policy of non-compromise, smart -shaping, two-way channel of communication, and individuality-finding as the major four concepts towards maintenance of quality with uniqueness. Hence, there can be no compromise in the exact delivery of syllabus which is guaranteed through publications of guidelines on subject-based lesson plans. Well grooming of the students is ensured through the process of regular activities, exposure through participations and involvements, opportunity for competitions, and prospects of tours and visits. Receiving relevant information of all concerned through recognized bodies, receiving regular feedbacks directly and indirectly, and providing information through traditional methods like publications and notices as well as modern technology’s use ensures flow of communication in all directions. Individual Focus is the Signature Program of the College which is designed as the exclusive course of action for individuality-finding.

Currently running 4 year BBA program under the semester system, the College has, started MBA and BHM programs from 2023, which are in the process at the University. The College is proud to be affiliated under such University which is the first in Nepal to introduce BBA program. Since beginning, the College has been able to maintain the standard of choosiness in the matter of Guest Lecture.
